As if finding the best cure is not enough trouble, you find that your body just cannot tolerate it. That is usually the predicament facing people with sensitive skin. However do not lose hope. Since you may experience negative reactions to commonly used products, it is necessary that you select only those that suit you when you go out to buy such products. This hype reaction is usually related to hereditary factors although other aspects like weather and climate may have a part to play.
One thing you should avoid is basking out in the hot sun. If you have to go out, always have a sunscreen on.
Despite your negative reaction to remedies, this does not mean that your pimples are incurable. The only difference comes in that you will be restricted to only using specially formulated spot medication for treating acne. Using inappropriate treatments may result in redness, lines and rashes. You should therefore, totally avoid OTC (over the counter) medications which consist of chemicals likely to have adverse side effects.
As much as washing your face regularly is important, make sure not to overdo it. At most do this only twice a day. Over washing causes dryness and may even result in irritation. The rate of sebum secretion would also increase thus worsening the spots and pimples.
Only use gentle applications for treatments. The main active agent to look out for is salicylic acid. You can also use gentle, soothing cleansers made of castile soap to treat and wash spots on your face. It is even more necessary that you combine application with sensitive lotions and gels to help keep you moisturized. Gentle chemicals such as salicylic acid do not aggravate acne unlike such harsh chemicals as benzoyl peroxide.
Alternatively, natural remedies are also effective in getting rid of pimples without adverse side effects. A soothing toner like witch hazel and aloe vera are commonly recommended to help heal blemishes.
Visit a dermatologist for an advanced form of cure for severe spots. Usually, the dermatologist will advice against use of benzyl peroxide powder - based products.
Make use of oil mortifiers as the last make-up of your daily products. The oil mortifiers help in absorbing excess oils and leave you looking smooth and attractive. It also works well in preventing pimples, since there will be less clogging in the pores. This also eradicates hideouts for the bacteria responsible for causing inflammation.
The noncomedogenic products commonly sold in liquid and cream forms are the best type of products to use. These are clog free products.
