Acne Affects Other Areas Of The Body
By Louise Forrest
You might not believe it if your saw a very severe case, but acne is not contagious and it is certainly not fatal. Acne is a disease that affects various areas of the skin such as the face, back, chest and shoulders and is identified by the appearance of blackheads, whiteheads, spots, pimples and inflammation on the skin surface.
It is caused by an excess buildup of dead skin cells and natural oils known as sebum. It is often advised that those who have acne are to stay away from typical lotions and gels and they generally do nothing in terms of healing the actual acne itself. They generally stop the accumulation of excess oils and so causing the skin to become dry.
But once the treatments have stopped, then it is all too common for the acne to appear once again. Now the main cause of acne is the build up of excess oils and dead skin cells. So how do you treat acne if you actually have dry skin and not oily skin? What then?
Well you might think that would be a tricky situation, but it is not the excess oil or the lack of oil that is the actual cause for concern. What is the problem is the actual bacteria itself.
You see in most cases of dry skin, there is little if any aggravation caused to the acne by the various treatments for dry skin that are available. And this should be a sign to tell you that you can still use your dry skin treatments, providing that there is no irritation to the skin.
Now acne as you are probably well aware is caused by a number of factors, such as the use of poor beauty products, genes, hormones, diet, the weather and other various factors, that are really more theories as opposed to real concrete evidence that something actually does cause acne.
So if you are suffering from acne then how do you send it packing and more importantly how do you make sure that it never comes back, even more angry in the future?
Well there are certain rules that you need to follow on a daily basis, and a level of discipline does need to be followed at all times.
First make sure that you using organic based products and that are free of chemicals and they are not oil based. It is also important that you moisturize your skin. You need to keep your skin moist and supple, if you do not then your skin will over compensate and could produce more sebum and therefore making the skin feel oily and greasy.
If it is hot and the sun is shining then you need to wear a sunscreen and to protect your skin stay out of the sun when it is at its hottest. But as with any skin and beauty care products that you use, make sure that what you use is oil-free.
Eat foods that are natural and fresh, and preferably organic. Avoid junk and processed foods and also make sure that you drink lots of fluids that is made up of lots of water and fresh juices.
