How To Effectively Deal With Acne
By Lousie Forrest
Sometimes in order to treat a skin condition it is important to know and understand about that skin condition, in terms of how it happens, why it happens and therefore how you can then go ahead and deal with that condition. And this is very true when it comes to treating acne.
There is a lot of information about acne and how to best treat it, but with all the information and products that are available it is very easy to get confused and also to feel misguided into how to treat acne most effectively.
Some common sense does need to be applied when it comes to caring for your skin such as making sure that your able to keep your skin as clean as possible and that if you are to wear make up then this needs to be removed before you go to sleep and ideally as soon as you return home from work for instance.
You should also be making sure that your body is getting all the essential vitamins and minerals that it needs. Taking supplements is an option but your best bet is to eat foods that are in vitamins and minerals. Having acne is an actual sign that there is something wrong with your body internally. If you are able to heal that you are quite likely to also be able to heal your acne at the same too.
If you acne is severe and you visit your doctor that he or she might suggest that you take antibiotics which have the intention of killing off the bacteria. Taking drugs to heal your acne is something that you should avoid. The reason for this is because overtime your body will become accustomed to using such treatments and eventually become immune to them. Gradually any drugs will have zero to very little effect.
Should this happen you are quite likely to take more tablets that necessary or to be asked for a higher strength drug, which is not advisable. Plus there is there remote possibility of a addiction taking place and the need to depend on such treatments in order to just feel that you are doing something positive to heal your skin. As you can see taking drugs is not the solution, and you are allowed to disagree with your doctor.
Whilst it can be difficult to find a treatment for acne there are many solutions that offer positive results and many are actually non-chemical based so they are much kinder to the skin. But it is important that you should not give up on an treatments for spots within the first two months. It is important that you allow any creams and lotions to be able to take effect and you should not be changing from product to product on a weekly basis.
When you are cleaning your oily skin it is important to be as gentle as possible and whilst there is inflammation of the skin, you should not over exfoliate the skin. This can cause the bacteria spread. Exfoliating is a good idea to help remove dead skin cells, but it needs to be moderated how often it is done.
