Some Tips for Mental Well Being - Ways to Help Yourself!

Stop, and have a deep look within yourself, the way you think. Sleep - Inadequate or poor quality of sleep can lead to feelings of daytime tiredness. Make sure you are getting sufficient sleep. Good Nutition - Follow a diet low in refined sugars and carbohydrates and high in fresh vegetables and protein. Sugars, starches and caffeine may make you feel good initially but will only make you feel worse when the rebound crash sets in. Make time for you - Do you sometimes feel like you have no time for yourself? Make time for your hobbies and interests. Learn to manage Stress - Too much stress can worsen the symptoms of depression and takes it toll on one's health. Avoiding unnecessary stress is easier said than done. There are many types of stress management techniques. Yoga, meditation, and stress management classes are a few examples. Seek support from family and friends - Isolation is the partner of depression and negative thinking.Get support even if you do not want it. Depression is a medical illness and you don't have to go through this alone. Attend Support Group Meetings - Support goes hand-in-hand with gathering good information. Join a depression support group. There are also numerous online communities and forums available if you cannot find a depression support group in your area or if you cannot express your true feelings in person.
