The differences in our bodies would also find the types of remedies to use in treating pimples and spots. Acne is known to affect the hair follicles, also called sweat pores and the sebaceous glands. Normally it will usually crop up on the face, arms, chest and the back. There are different forms including pustules, nodules, whiteheads and blackheads. The ailment affects people regardless of age, skin color or gender. However, teenagers are the most affected by this ailment, which is also becoming prevalent in women in their early thirties.
It is tricky to treat spots on black skin. This is because presence of high levels of melanin thus making it difficult to deal with. Melanin helps regulate sunshine from causing burns or reaching the sensitive inner membranes.
Attentiveness of melanin on a cellular level makes it sensitive while trying to treat pimples, especially using OTC (over the counter) medications. Some of these medications may result in momentarily lessening of the dark color. The affected parts may seem darker than the rest. Darkening and trouncing of color are much more common in those with dark complexion. A blemish can heal completely in a person with a lighter complexion, but would leave a dim flaw on people with a dark complexion.
Despite the problems related with a darker complexion, the pimples can still be cured. The mode of treatment remains the same for both people with dark and lighter complexion. People with darker complexion are only more sensitive to topical application. It is highly recommended that a person with a severe case sees a qualified professional.
Some types of vegetables and fruits are useful in treating spots and pimples:
1. An oatmeal-based face mask has been in use for many years. It also acts as a natural moisturizer.
2.Mix two tablespoons of dried lavender, two tablespoons of plain yogurt and finely chopped oatmeal. Freeze it for 10-15 minutes. Apply it on the affected part for some minutes. Then Rinse it using warm water. Repeat this for a couple of weeks for an effective healing.
3. Alternatively, make a paste of turmeric powder, honey, lemon, tomato, cucumber, oats, lime, oranges and tea tree oil. Apply the paste and leave the same for about fifteen to twenty minutes before washing it off. This helps in killing bacteria and draining excess oils.
4. Exfoliation using rosewater is also a great cure for pimples.
5. Always take in a lot of water since the melanin makes it difficult to stay moisturized.
6. Fresh fruits and vegetables in the diet help your body heal quickly. Proper dieting should be backed up with regular physical exercise to keep your internal metabolism functioning optimally.
