Chimpanzees and Humans a lot in common
Those who study chimpanzees are often amazed completely with the abilities of that species. They tend to be able to raise their level of awareness and concentration to a completely higher level than we ever believed. Mankind comes with such feelings of superiority and belief that humans are some divine creation and are superior in every way, yet we are finding we are not as alone as we once thought with regards to intelligence of carbon based bipods. I wish to recommend a book to you, which will help illustrate my points: "Next of Kin" By Roger Fouts. This is a great book for anyone who assumes that man is the only species on this Planet, which can reason, think, plan and understand. The sub title of this book is "What Chimpanzees Have Taught Me About Who We Are." The book is completely fascinating, very well written and will shock you. I enjoyed it and would also recommend it to anyone who is a biologist, geneticist, zoologist or thinking man. It will change the way you see things, and help you understand who we are and what our place is on this planet. Also you should definitely check out the author's web site; http://www.cwu.edu/~cwuchci/ . Sometimes mankind can be so blind as our perceptions have shaped our belief systems thru stories, tall tales and religion. This book will open your eyes to what else it out there that we do not know. Read the book, peruse their website and think about it. "Lance Winslow" - If you have innovative thoughts and unique perspectives, come think with Lance; www.WorldThinkTank.net/wttbbs

The Future Enhancements of Tele-Robotics Today we have already available UAVs, which will soon have the capacity of operating together in swarms, controlled from another nearby aircraft. We have UAVs, which can be flown by a pilot sitting at a desk more than 1000 miles away. Aluminum Oxide to Disrupt Laser Weapons In a defensive move to eliminate communication of an enemy, an offensive system using a chemical laser would be a good idea. In manufacturing we have lasers, which coat materials so they can be combined or heat-treated in the application process. I know as a mobile detailing business that when we have ultra clean water in our tanks we are a happy camper. Pandemic Crisis Cure Concept What happens if the world is faced with a Pandemic, for which no cure currently exists but one is on the verge of being discovered? Here is a concept, which with the proper protocols could save the human race from near extinction. Human Hibernation. The Intricacies of a Compound Microscope Have you ever used a compound microscope? Your first thought may be to answer "no" but chances are if you had Biology in high school or college that you have used a compound microscope. What do you remember about this microscope? You may remember what it looks like but can you recall how it worked? If not, this article is for you!A compound microscope uses light to illuminate the sample or object so that you can see it with your eye. Acoustic Transducers To Detect And Eliminate Incoming Mortar Rounds There maybe a way to use acoustic transducers to pin-point incoming enemy ordinance such as mortar rounds in order to shoot them down. Directional sound waves from acoustic transducers set at specific locations around friendly locations can create artificial barriers, which the incoming ordinance will have to pass to reach its target and thus be detected and triangulated or quadrangulated for interception. Ultra Thin Space Suits, just a concept The space suits we saw on the first Moon visit were too large and bulky. We need Ultra thin space suits, but what if you break the skin underneath. Rodent Populations are Half within 3 miles of a Railroad Track About a month ago, I was helping a friend collect meteorites. We picked out a grid pattern and started walking six to 9 feet apart with metal detectors looking for the iron-nickel meteorites which are quite common here on the Earth's surface The grid is large and takes many days to even make a dent in it and each time we are able to collect some meteorites. Paternity Testing Regulation: Help or Hindrance? IntroductionThe internet has opened up opportunities for many DNA laboratories to distribute free paternity test kits in hopes of a sale from returned samples. In Europe, France is the only country that regulates how paternity tests are conducted. Cold Fusion And as I was typing this, I stopped for a while to watch the news and saw that what I wrote just a while ago in terms of human evolution has already become the likely scenario according to the media because of a new skull found in Kenya. A 3. Acoustic Transducers for High Altitude Balloon Control Using acoustic transducers it maybe possible to create a small region of thicker air underneath a blimp and use that patch as a platform of air to float on while blowing ever so slightly low pressure air underneath the blimp like a hover craft. Although this idea sounds like a long shot it can be done by use of a screen, which shoots the directed frequency waves into the waves created by the acoustic transducers. What is Science? Students often ask; "What exactly is science?" Professors explain by discussing theories, proofs, laws of physics, observations, duplication of results, etc.. |
