The Tunturi Elliptical Trainer
The Tunturi Elliptical is one of the lower end priced machines on the market. It comes with a longer warranty period than some other ellipicals, and seems to be a solidly built machine. There is a certain amount of assembly required when you get it home. The Tunturi Elliptical is a very heavy piece of equipment so you may need some help getting it into the house. Also people with large fingers may have a bit of trouble assembling certain parts where you need to get your fingers into. Because the Tunturi Elliptical is so heavy,it would be a good idea to place it in the spot where it will be used and not have to be moved on a daily basis. The biggest problem with the Tunturi Elliptical seems to be that when you use it, it makes noises. This is a problem that can be fixed. There is a squeeky noise at the front of the Tunturi Elliptical which can be fixed by adding an extra washer to the short shaft that the arms attach to. Some people complain of a louder noise, after some heavy use of the Tunturi Elliptical. This noise can be fixed also with a little bit of grease and maybe some sanding. The electronics are good on the Tunturi Elliptical, including a heart rate monitor in the center front of the machine. The transitions from backward to forward are very smooth, not interfering with the workout. Overall, the Tunturi Elliptical is more than worth the money, and is recommended.
